INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
During the summer of 2022, I interned at JPMorgan's Corporate Investment Bank as a UX design intern under the DXD (Digital Experience Design) team. The division provides digital design services to both internal and external clients of the bank.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I worked on two projects serving two products under the division. My work includes research, curating user personas, creating design prototypes utilizing an existing design system, engaging in team critiques, and presenting my designs to stakeholders and senior design executives.
DURATION
Jun. 2022 - Aug. 2022
MY IMPACT
My work explored how the treasury product can empower companies to better visualize their financial income and outcome on a centralized platform. My designs are utilized in user testing to collect feedback and helped pave the project forward.
My work at JPMorgan Chase is under NDA. While I cannot go into details about what I worked on, please contact me if you wish to learn more about my experience.

REFLECTION
My Biggest Takeaways
I had the opportunity to work on products in an existing ecosystem that solve complex problems for a specific group of users. This is also my first time working with real data that's full of unexpected and diverse edge-cases which my design solutions strive to cover.
Learnings & Challenges
Tackling ambiguity
Becoming a well-rounded designer
One of the projects I worked on is still in its discovery phase and I was tasked with ideating low-fidelity designs. I learned to focus on what I know about the product domain and my work is able to have long-lasting impact on the product's development.
The complexity of the design teams at JPMorgan Chase has shaped me to be a flexible designer. I learned how to quicily insert myself in teams and conversations and be deeply immersed in the problem space I'm solving.
Feeling Grateful 😊
Thank you to my manager, Marina, for being such an awesome design leader and valuing my career growth. Thank you to my mentor, Rick, for always being supportive and showing me how to facilitate efficient design critiques. Lastly, thank you to Jenny, Yang and Lindsay for being so open to accepting me as a part of the team!
